Stampin' for Christmas Blog Hop!

Saturday, 3 December 2022 United Kingdom

Today I am blog hopping along with Stampin' Up! demos and papercrafters for the Stampin' for Christmas blog hop!

There are only 22 days until Christmas - are you ready??

If you still need some inspiration, you are in the right place!

I'm sharing a card I've created with the Storybook Gnomes DSP which I beleive has just sold out in the European Stampin' Up shop.

Hopefully you've already got some and need some inspiration to use up your leftover scraps?

Typically, I don't include characters or animals in my card making so this is a bit of a first for me. I bought the Storybook Gnomes DSP specifically for the reverse side of the patterned paper. i.e the patterned paper not featuring the gnomes.

Sometimes it is easy to discount a set of DSP as the main feature isn't our cup of tea but I'd encourage you to look at the alternative side before you take it off your wish list!

I've added the patterned paper to the entire cardstock base. - you may notice there are a few Iridescent Pearls in the centre in some of the snowflakes.

Next I diet cut a panel in Basic White cardstock using one of the Layering Dioroma dies. I've popped this up on the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals (foam pads).

The sentiment 'Magic is in the air' is from the Christmas to Remember stamp set and is PERFECT when making Christmas cards for children

I've stamped the sentiment using Versamark onto Pacific Point cardstock. I heat embossed it in white and then cut it out by hand using my paper snips,

I'll be honest, I had no intention of featuring these gnomes, it kind of just happened and before I knew it I was fussy cutting the gnomes and toadstool from the patterned paper..... and suddenly, there I was creating one of my favourite looks - monochrome!

They were super easy to cut out! I always leave a thin white border around the images. You don't have to do this but personally I think it looks better.

Peeping out from behind the toadstool is a Wonderful Snowflake. These have sold out too but you may have some left over from 2021 as they were carried over from last years mini.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
Now it's time to check out the other projects in the blog hop!
