There is no theme today - although you'll find we have all used products from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue or Mini Catalogue.
I'm so behind with my Christmas card making this year so I am really happy to have created these two fun cards this morning in my craft room.
I have a dreadful cold but I need to keep mysekf focussed today on getting my Christmas cards done as our post office is striking and it would be a miracle if my cards reach the recipients in time for Christmas!
After a busy week at work, it was lovely to do some fussy cutting this morning, it is great for mindfullness - I find it really calming.
I've used the sold out Storybook Gnomes DSP for both the background and the animals - aren't they cute?
I love this style of card - I think it's called a book binding card?
I've got several cards on my blog and a few YouTube videos sharing a simialr design. This design is more simple, using my trusty Layering Circle dies to create the feature on this Balmy Blue card.
Here are the measurements for this card:
Balmy Blue Card base
- 29.8cm x 10.5cm, score at 14.9cm
- Score 10.5cm from each end
- I find it more accurate to fold the card in half and then score 10.5cm from the open end so that it scores through both pieces
Basic White Cardstock
- 10.1cm x 10.1cm - quantity 2 (1 piece for the inside)
- 10.1cm x 3.9cm - quantity 1
DSP
- 9.7cm x 9.7cm - quantity 1
- 9.7cm x 3.5cm - quantity 1
