Stampin' for Christmas Blog Hop!

Saturday, 5 November 2022 United Kingdom

Today we are blog hopping with papercrafters and Stampin' Up! demos for the Stampin' for Christmas blog hop!

It's not long now, there are only 50 days until Christmas!

Today I am sharing this gorgeous card that will be super simple to make in batches.

I have cased this card, with permission, from my friend and fellow Pinkie Kate Bolt - click here to check out her card!

If you are visiting my blog for the first time, hello and welcome!

If you are a regular follower of mine and have been wondering where I am, I've had a little unplanned break from crafting.

I started cutting back a few weeks before we were going on our first holiday abroad in over 3 years. I was busy planning and packing in any free time I had from work. We went to Dubai in September and had the most fabulous experiences and stayed at the most wonderful resort called Anantara the Palm.

Here we are at a viewing platform at the bottom of Palm Jurmeriah, in the background you can see the iconic Atlantis resort, where we stayed on our first visit to Dubai. The view from here was incredible and I timed the visit so we would see the sunset.

Since we've been back I have struggled to get back into crafting so I decided to just go with the flow, knowing it wouldn't be too long before I found my mojo. 2 months later and here I am. I will be easing myself back in and sharing the cards I've made over the last few weekends.

I've used the Christmas Season stamp set and the Christmas to Remember stamp set from Stampin' Up! You can find these in the annual catalogue as they carried over from last years Christmas offering.

I've used the Seasonal Label dies which coordinate with both of the stamp sets I've used. I used the dies to cut the label but they also can die cut the leaves and holly etc.

You could step this card up (as Kate has shown in one of her samples) by adding more dimension by stamping and die cutting the foliage.

I really wanted to embrace tradtional Christmas colours this year so I've used colours the colours Soft Succulent, Merry Merlot and Evening Evergreen.

While the overall colour combo is darker then I normally use, I feel these colours are still soft and muted enough for my taste.

Here is a close up of one of the card, on this one the berries are just stamped as normal.

On this card I've added some Shimmery Crystal Effects onto the berries. You have to be careful as the colour bleeds slightly but I like the glossy effect it adds.

I haven't added any embellishments to this card as I don't think it needs any!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Now it's time to check out the other projects in the blog hop!
