Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase blog hop!

There is no theme today - although you'll find we have all used products from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, Mini catalogue or Sale-a-Bration catalogue.

I am sharing a card I created for the Papercrafters United Against Racism Insta Hop

I've been taking part in this hop since January 2021 as its a subject matter that is very close to my heart.

The Begin with a Dream host stamp set from Stampin' Up! was perfect for the message I wanted to share on this hop.

Following watercolour month last month, I've been experimenting with different water colour techniques. I've still got two more projects to share!

I've applied ink to watercolour paper using blending brushes. I've used the colours Gorgeous Grape, Tahitian Tide, Fresh Freesia and Starry Sky.

I made sure each colour touched the next colour without much overlapping.

This is my first attempt but I decided the green colour (Bermuda Bay I think) didn't work as well so I did it again but applied less pressure to the blending brush to get a softer look.

I've linked the watercolour Stampin' Up! sell in the product list at the end but you can use any watercolour paper. I buy cheaper paper so I can experiment freely without worrying about the cost and wasting anything.

I then have taken my Waterpainter and dipped it into water and splashed drops all over the paper. I then left it to dry.

Isn't the effect gorgeous?

I stamped the people image in Versamark directly onto the watercolour paper and heat embossed it in White.

I matted this onto some Basic White card stock and thern added it onto my card base using Stampin' Dimensionsals.

To create the multi colour senitments "Every great dream begins with a dreamer" and "You make a difference" I have applied ink to the stamps using Daubers.

I have only used three of the colours - I have omitted Starry Sky. It wasn't intentional though, I had forgotten I had used that colour on the watercolour paper!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Now it's time to check out the other projects in the blog hop!
