New Catalogue Blog Hop!

I am hopping along today with Stampin' Up! demos and papercrafters for the Crafty Collaborations Share it Sunday Blog Hop!

We are sharing projects we've created with new goodies from the Stampin' Up! catalogue. If you haven't seen the catalogue yet, you can find several links to it on my blog or you can click here

Today I sm sharing with you the new Stampin' Up! In Colours 2022 - 2024!

More than likely you would have seen them already.... so what do you think of them?

I'll be honest, these colours are brighter than colours I would normally use but I am planning on using them in my card making in small doses....

I think it's going to take a while for me to remember all these new colours!

We have Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis

Feel free to pin this graphic to your Pinterest board!

After creating these cards, I would say my favourite two colours are Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis. The jury's still out for the other three!

I've kept my card design really simple creating a monochrome card showcasing each colour individually - along with some new products!!!

I've used the 2022 - 2024 In Colour DSP for the back ground and used the new Stylish Shapes dies to cut out a circle using the largest circle dies.

I then took the piece of patterned paper I die cut out (the circle) and die cut another circle from it before adhering the main piece and the small circle into position onto my Basic White card base.

I took a bit of extra time to make sure the stripes lined up perfectly.

If you find it difficult to line your small circle within the white space, you can use the left over piece of DSP (i.e the piece that would have covered the circular white space) to help you centre the smaller circle perfectly. In retrospect, I should have taken a photo to explain this better!

The idea with the background was to break up the colour and add some interest to the focal point. I've got a card idea for the left over pieces so watch this space!

I stamped flowers using the new Happiness Abounds stamp set and die cut the flowers using the coordinating Blossoming Happiness dies

The sentiment 'Sending many thanks for all that you do' is from the same stamp set and I've die cut this using a banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies.

To finish the card I added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, which always blend in perfectly with any colour.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Now it's time to check out the blog hop!

  5. I like that you left the white die cuts on the DSP. I always feel compelled to color them but this looks great!
