Welcome to the Ink Stamp Share Showcase blog hop!

There is no theme today - although you'll find we have all used products from the Stampin' Up! Annual or Mini catalogue.

In last month's showcase hop I shared a card using the same stamp set and a similar colouring technique - you may remember me saying that I had another idea of a card I could make with the same set and here it is!

I have used the Color & Contour stamp set and Scalloped Contour dies from Stampin' Up!

I've showcased some of my favourite colours Balmy Blue, Polished Pink, Misty Moonlight, Highland Heather and Bermuda Bay

I used Stampin' Blends to outline the flower, just like I did in last months card here.  I really liked the look so I wanted to try it with the individual flower stamp - I think the little bit of white coming through really works and makes it both bright and light.

I wanted to feature Misty Moonlight as the main colour as it is retiring soon.

It is a colour I will truly miss not being part of the core range of Stampin' Up! colours - like with the loss of Seaside Spray last year, I am always hopeful they will return next time there is a colour refresh.

I used Misty Moonlight cardstock for the card base and the sentiment. I also made sure the flower in the this colour took centre place.

.

Behind each flower I've used the dotty stamp and have stamped in the corresponding colour to the flower - colour coordination at it's best!

If you look hard enough you will some a scattering of Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels - I love how iridescent just blends with the colours it is near.

After I stamped the flowers and coloured them, I die cut them out using the Scalloped Contour dies. I alternated adhering the flowers to the card - some are flat and some are popped up using dimensions.

It took me a while to decide on whether the card should be in landscape or portrait direction - I went with portrait. It was almost a coin toss situation as either would have been great.

The sentiment 'Just a note' is from the Flowing Flowers stamp set. I've heat embossed it in white.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Now it's time to check out the other projects in this blog hop!
