Welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop!
Today we have a sketch challenge for you - scroll down this post to see the sketch and then blog hop to see what everyone has made!
The card I've created showcases the Friendly Hello stamp set and Friendly Hello DSP from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration promotion that starts on 4th January 2022.
Here is the sketch we've been challenged with.
As you can see, I've followed it fairly closely but not 100%.
There are a couple of things I would change on reflection but overall I am happy with my card.
My card features a lot of heat embossing in black. The bold sentiment 'Hello friend' and also the bird on the branches, which I have stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut before using my Pool Party Stampin' Blends to colour it in.
I wouldn't recommend this approach though, I thought it would be okay but I'd suggest you use Memento ink. The embossing did bleed into the colour so I had to be careful not to touch the lines.
I've added these gorgeous Brushed Brass Butterflies, available in the upcoming Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue on 4th January.
To get your hands on the fab Friendly Hello stamp set and Friendly Hello DSP, you'll need to place a qualifying order of £90 plus shipping to be able to select this combo for free!
The stamp set has additional images of flowers and a few other sentiments. I reckon you'll be seeing a lot of projects with this fab set!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
Now it's time to check out the blog hop to see how everyone else how interpreted the sketch.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Kim x
ReplyDeletedid you shade behind the bird image or is that just a shadow from a sunny picture?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I had to take the pictures at night so I had no choice to use my artificial light. So yes it is a shadow but there is actually some stamping behind the bird, in Pool Party, there are some texture dots.
DeleteI'm going to retake the pictures in daylight this weekend and replace them, there is nothing better than natural light!
Nice card Kim, love the addition of the butterflies too.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
