❤ This is a photo of my grandma and I ❤
This photo may have been taken over 20 years ago but I adore it and will treasure it forever. It triggers memories of weekend visits from our grandparents. Then I remember trips to their house in Ollerton, which bring even greater memories. It was always fun to sleep over at their house. I remember playing in the garden, Grandma's legendary buffets and Grandads jokes! Such good times!
I created these two sympathy cards to send to my aunties Janet and Carol and their families. I will be seeing them today as we are travelling to Nottingham for Grandmas funeral.
With the restrictions in place due to coronavirus, my Dad is in Trinidad and unable to get back to the UK for the funeral. This breaks my heart but thank goodness for modern technology as he is able to join via video link.
Today will be bittersweet as it will be the first time I've seen my brother in over a year and the first time in several years since I have seen my aunties, uncles, cousins and extended family.
It will be so difficult not being able to give my family a hug but I am thankful that we can be together, as the maximum limit to gather for the funeral is 30 people.
Black and white cards are often created by papercrafters to send condolences. The True Love DSP was the perfect choice for this sombre occasion.
I patiently fussy cut the flowers from the DSP and adhered them to a white background. A simple sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set is all that was needed.
The sentiment inside the card is from the Well Said stamp set. I added some more flowers inside. I think I might have stuck these down the wrong way. I am not entirely sure but they may be upside down.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today
