Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop!
I am sharing today some cards I've created with the Sailing Home stamp set from Stampin' Up! - but with a twist.
I'm Kim and I live in Somerset in the UK. You'll find lots of inspiration here today from Stampin' Up! demonstrators and papercrafters from Australia, Canada, USA and the UK!
I've been have some fun experimenting with the Gilded Leafing and these cards are some of the outcomes!
I am lucky enough to live fairly close to the coast in the UK and yesterday I visited Torquay. The sea was shimmering and the sun was shining, it felt so good to get out of the house having been in lockdown since January and working from home.
I love a simple card and did consider whether these were too simple.
I have to start having more confidence in my creations as we all have different tastes, and that is ok! If I am happy with my card, that should be enough and I should stop worrying what people will think.
I know the sea isn't gold but I wanted to create the shimmer that it has on a sunny day.
I've used the Dandy Garden DSP - I felt these two patterns had a nautical feel and they would be perfect for this project.
The pattern below reminds me of little fishes but if you look closely, they aren't fish at all.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed my project today!
If you have the time, it would be lovely if you could leave us comments to let us know you've stopped by!
