If you are visiting my blog for the first time, WELCOME!
Over the next month I will be showcasing 9 papercraft & home decor projects featuring the stunning Boho Indigo patterned paper!
Make sure you subscribe to receive notifications of my blog posts so you don't miss any posts in this 9 part series!
I can't wait to show you what I've designed!
I have created a variety of handmade items - from stationery to home decor, gift bags to gift boxes and of course, handmade cards!
The Boho Indigo patterned paper can be found in the Boho Indigo Product Medley and the Boho Indigo Product Medley Refil Kit - both of which you can purchase from my Stampin' Up! online shop!
This gorgeous patterned paper features the new 'In Colour' Misty Moonlight paired with Very Vanilla or Whisper White. I'll be using a variety of stamp sets and dies alongside this paper throughout this series.
Typically, as I write this the Boho Indigo Product Medley Refill Kit is on back order (although the Boho Indigo Product Medley including stamps and dies isn't). It's crazy that's happened already within a month of the Annual Catalogue launch! It just goes to show how popular this paper really is! Hopefully it will be back in stock soon.
Even though both the Boho Indigo Product Medley and Refill Kit contains 48 double sided sheets of patterned paper, I still keep all my scraps!
I LOVE organisation, one day I will do a craft room tour so I can show you around and how I work!
I have a clear A5 plastic pocket for each DSP I own (that hasn't retired). I keep the pocket on my desk as I work with the DSP and I simply put any off cuts of the DSP straight in the pocket. It's so useful! It's exactly how I was able to make this card without cutting into brand new sheets just for a tiny square.
So, I picked up my Layering Squares dies and die cut 9 squares from my scraps!
I arranged the squares onto my Very Vanilla cardstock (which I cut slightly bigger than the size the 9 squares would create), after taking an eternity to deciding on patterns and placement I started adhering them to the card, starting from the top left hand corner and working my way across before starting the next line down.
I used Tombow glue to allow me a second or two to get the positioning right, leaving a very small gap in between each square.. Once I had finished, I used my paper trimmer to trim the card down to the right size.
For the centre piece, I used a sentiment from the Tasteful Touches stamp set, inked with Misty Moonlight ink and a die from the Tasteful label dies.
I also added a couple of the cute paper flowers that were included in the Boho Indigo Product Medley Refill Kit.
To finish the card and to subtly add another colour (similar to the centre of the paper flowers), I added some linen thread, wrapped around the top of the card and tied into a loose bow.
I hope you liked my card today!
Come back on Sunday to see the fun swaps I created using the Flowers for Every Season DSP for the Pinkies Virtual Retreat.
