I'm excited for 2021 but let's just reflect on 2020 for a moment.
It has been a year like no other any of us have ever known. It may have been some of the toughest times we've ever experienced but it is a shared experience that has affected every single person in the world.
There is hope for 2021 with vaccines starting (my father in law is having his today). It may take a while but it is a positive step forward.
It was the first lockdown that led me to restarting my blog papercraft journey and I'm thankful for that. I love how the blogging community comes together to collaborate and share. This hobby is wonderful and keeps me busy while I'm stuck at home.
Thank you Jo for hosting and organising the Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hops, it is much appreciated and I am honoured to take part every month!
So my plan for 2021 is to continue blogging and sharing my love of Stampin' Up! products.
I've recently started a new job having been unemployed for a long time. I now have to find the balance between my career and my hobby. I plan on sharing projects at least twice a week, more if I possibly can. I also hope to add more YouTube tutorials but these will be on an ad hoc basis, as and when I have something extra special to share.
I like to set myself targets and I'm so happy to have exceeded them having reached 300,000 blog page views at the beginning of December and 10,000 YouTube views a few weeks ago - thank you so much ❤
I started my blog in 2014 but after a longer than intended 3 year break, I'm pleased to have been able to pick up where I left and continued to grow my subscribers.
Important news!
I'm also excited to share I've been developing a new format for my blog! The new format will look great on mobile devices as well as laptops and desktops.
There will also be some changes to my social media pages - possibly some user name changes, changing the branding and also my website links - please bear with me while this takes place.
Before I go, I'll run through how I made this card with you quickly.
I've splattered Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on Basic Black cardstock and allowed it plenty of time to dry.
I die cut a rectangle using the Rectangle Stitched dies and have added Happy New Year 2021, which has been die cut from Black Glitter Paper and Gold Foil Sheets using the Playful Alphabet dies. The Whisper White piece has been layered onto the cardbase with dimensionals.
Prior to die cutting the message, I added the Black Glitter Paper and Gold Foil Sheets to foam sheets so that the letters and numbers were raised. I drew faint pencil lines to make sure the letters were straight.
My OCD is not at all happy with the centering, it is not as simple as starting in the middle and working your way out as the letters and numbers are all different widths! If you have a tip to share - please do!
Happy New Year to you and your families - here's hoping for a better 2021!!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog - I hope you enjoyed viewing my Happy New Year card today!

Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop December 2020
Monday, 28 December 2020 United Kingdom
Welcome to the International Blog Highlights winners hop!
I am blog hopping with the lovely Kylie Bertucci and the other nine winners of the International Blog Highlights that Kylie hosted in December.
You'll be spoilt with inspiration today from papercrafters and Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all of the world.
I'd like to dedicate my card to those of you who took the time to check out my thank you cards and vote for me earlier this month - THANK YOU so much!
I hope you have enjoyed my project today!
The card I've created uses a variety of Stampin' Up! products and features two of my favourite colours - Seaside Spray and Blushing Bride.
I inked up the All Things Fabulous stamp set and used Fabulous Floral dies for the very first time - I bought the bundle in September and then got totally wrapped up in festive card making.
I must say, at first glance, the photopolymer stamps did appear complicated but they really aren't. I really enjoyed at stamping with this set so expect to see some more cards created using the All Things fabulous bundle on my blog soon.
I used the Fancy Phrases stamp set for the background stamping and also for the sentiment. Underneath the sentiment is the lovely Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
I die cut an oval using the Layering Ovals dies and dry embossed it with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder, before adding the flowers and the foliage die cut using the Forever Flourishing dies.
I had previously promised on my blog that it was the last time I was using the Balmy Blue Glimmer paper but I'm making no apologies for using it again as I love it!
I also added a thin strip on the right hand side of my card along with a strip of the 2019 - 2021 In Colour Designer Series Paper.
For my final touch, I added a couple of Blue Adhesive Backed Gems.
If you have the time, I'd love to hear from you! You can leave a comment further down this page. If you aren't already subscribing to my blog to receive updates by email you can join the mailing list here.
Before you go, make sure you check out all of the projects in this blog hop! If you've joined the hop here, my name is Kim Price. All you need to do is find my name in the list below and then click on the name underneath it to visit their blog. Continue down the list and then up to the top again until you get back to mine!
