Just a quick card from me today which I've made for my neighbours who've recently had a baby.
Its loosely based on this sketch from this weeks Global Design Project #GDP046. I've used So Saffron instead of the traditional pink or blue and I think it's a lovely colour choice for this time of year.
Totally in love with timeless grunge using Strawberry Sketches #SS02 & Global Design Project #GDP045

I really enjoyed making today's card! So much that I am entering it into two challenges!
First up we have the Global Design Project #GDP045. This weeks challenge is a colour challenge. I have to use the colours Basic Black, Smoky Slate & Melon Mambo in my project to be able to enter.
As soon as I saw this colour combination I knew I just had to enter. I love how Melon Mambo just pops when used with Basic Black.

I've been lacking in inspiration recently and as soon as I saw this sketch that my friend Sarah Berry created, loads of ideas started coming into my mind. In fact, I'll probably make another card using this sketch.
This is the first sketch that Sarah has published so head on over to Sarah's blog and checkout what you need to do to join in!
I love this butterfly from the Grateful Bunch photopolymer stamp and I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity for it to be the main feature in one of my projects.
I've simply cut four squares of Shimmery White cardstock and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to position the butterfly perfectly in the centre. I stamped two butterflies in Elegant Eggplant and two butterflies in Perfect Plum and coordinated the layer to match the colour of the ink.
I used a two-part sentiment from the Floral Phrases Clear Mount Stamp Set for the front and inside of the card. I love the words and the fonts in this sentiment, they suit this card perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my project today and thanks for stopping by!

Two weeks ago I spent a lovely three days in Birmingham with my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator friends. We spent the first day in the Bullring shopping centre and the next 2 days at a venue just across the road from Selfridges. My upline Michelle Last organised 2 days of crafty fun for us all which included a lovely project, 6 make and takes and a range of classes. It was such a good weekend and I can't wait to go again next year
