Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you have arrived from Michelle's blog, welcome! Isn't her project fabulous!

On the day the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue launched, demonstrators and customers from across the world excitedly placed their orders. I could see on facebook lots of Pinkies receiving their orders last week and I was green eyed with envy. I finally got my delivery on Friday and had lots of fun opening all the products (making sure the evidence was hidden before my husband got home).

I spent all of Sunday afternoon crafting and here is the first of several projects that I have made using new stamp sets and designer series paper.

I made these cards by stamping the beautiful images from the new Remarkable You stamp set onto Vellum cardstock using Black Staz On ink and then added sentiments from the new Cottage Greetings stamp set. I love the font in this set and will definitely be using these sentiments a lot!

When I am crafting, I really try to be as original as I can be and I also try and make projects that are outside of my comfort zone. This is how I came about this idea of adhering Vellum cardstock over a layer of Designer Series Paper and stamping onto the Vellum. Its been done before but this is my spin on it.

This designer series paper is just fabulous and is called Timeless Elegance and I can't wait to use the other patterns included in this pack. I have been guilty in the past of saving beautiful paper but this year I have decided that it needs to be used so that it can be enjoyed by others.

To finish off the front of the card, I decided to add a small strip of glimmer paper to the bottom of the Vellum cardstock. I think it adds a bit of glamour without overpowering the simple design.

I always like to stamp the inside of cards I make so I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the same image and sentiment that I used on the front on the card. I love this look and might now attempt a black and white version and perhaps a version with some subtle water colouring now I have my new watercolour pens!

I really hope you have enjoyed my project today. Click here to subscribe to my blog so you see the other projects I make using products from the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue.

The next blog is Paula's and she has created a fabulous project for you.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy hopping!
