Today is the final day of 7 Days of Thanks and I can finally reveal the reason why I needed some of the thank you cards I designed!
Last week, I set sail on a 5 day cruise on the largest ship in the world Oasis of the Seas and today we will be disembarking to fly home to the UK.
This was my 5th cruise and one thing I always remember is how the staff are always so lovely and so eager to please, so in addition to the standard tips they receive, I always like to give an extra tip using any leftover currency I have and put this into a thank you card with a personal note.
I think this card is perfect to give to the stateroom attendant, head waiter or assistant waiter. These 3 people are usually the staff that you get to know the most during your cruise and make your experience special. A few years ago on my 2nd cruise on Independence of the Seas, the waitress serving drinks in the main theater remembered me and what I liked to drink.... I am not sure if that's something to be proud of?
Although this cruise is shorter than I would usually like, I know I will be totally missing my cats Charlie and Bayley and will be looking forward to seeing them again, as well as spending some time in my craft room!
I hope you like this card which has been made with the new Maritime Designer Series Paper - just perfect for this occasion.
Here is my design for Day 6 of.........7 Days of Thanks!
I especially like this Designer Series Paper and thought it would look nice on a black background. I wish now that I had distressed the paper so it looked aged - maybe next time!
When I finished putting this card together, I decided it needed some colour, so I added Marina Mist Cotton Ribbon and Candy Dots. I really like this colour pop effect and would make similar designs using other bright colours such as Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry & Pear Pizazz.
I really hope you like this design - please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
It's Day 5 of.... 7 Days of Thanks!
Today's card features a stamp set I have used before and by using different colour inks and
backgrounds, it shows how versatile this set is as all the designs look so different - take a look here at my previous post using this stamp set.
The summer is almost over and I want to make a card that was bright and cheerful and I think I've managed to achieve this.
Welcome to Day 3 of..... 7 Days of Thanks!
I love using glitter at Christmas but love to find an excuse to use it all year round. This card is really simple to make and can be made in less than 5 minutes.
I cut, scored and folded the A5 cardstock in half and wiped the face of the card using my Embossing Buddy. Next I stamped the sentiment using Versmark Ink.
I then covered the area with Heat & Stick Powder, tapped off the excess and melted the powder using my heat gun. Next I sprinkled the Stampin' Silver glitter over the sticky area and tapped off the excess glitter. I then set the glitter in place by heating with the heat gun. After tapping off the excess powder/glitter, don't waste any - tip it back into the pot!!!
Make sure you check out the Tools & Tips page for more info on the Embossing Buddy and Heat Gun.
Its Day 3 of.... 7 Days of Thanks and I hope you are enjoying looking at my designs.
I made this set as a thank you gift for one of my customers using the new All Abloom Designer
Series Paper Stack. I love this pattern but there are lots of other gorgeous patterns available on this stack too!
This card has a matching pillow box which you can use to hold some chocolates or sweets.
There is also a matching notebook!
It's Day 2 of my feature.... 7 Days of Thanks.
Don't forgot to keep checking back here for the next 5 days to see my other designs!
I like to use multiple colours in my designs but sometimes I think less is more. I have only used the colour Strawberry Slush on this design and I love it.
I used the Stamping Sponges to get the effect on the petals and added a Rhinestone to the centre of each flower.
I thought it would be nice to showcase these cards into a feature so welcome to..... 7 Days of Thanks!
Everyday for the next 7 days I will be posting a different thank you card project!
The colours and distressed style of this card has been based around the Burlap ribbon, I bought this a while ago but hadn't got round to using it yet and I am really pleased with the results.
Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!
If you have arrived here from Jenny's blog, welcome!! I really hope you enjoy looking at the projects we have made!
